Dow 30 Trading Range Screen

The first month of the year is now behind us, and below we take a look at where the 30 members of the Dow currently stand.  At the moment, 17 Dow stocks are in overbought territory, 12 are inside of their trading ranges, and just one is oversold.  Procter & Gamble is the one oversold stock.  United Tech (UTX), Caterpillar (CAT), Du Pont (DD), Microsoft (MSFT), and Wal-Mart (WMT) are currently the most overbought stocks in the index.

Best Post Earnings Stock Plays

More than 600 companies have reported earnings since Alcoa (AA) kicked off the reporting period in early January.  We set out to find the companies that had strong reports and now look good from a technical perspective.  To make the cut, a company had to beat both earnings and revenue estimates and gain at least 5% on the day of its report.  Of the 60 companies that fit our criteria, the ten below in our opinion have the most bullish chart patterns from now until their next report days three months from now.  Charts and descriptions of each stock are included on the following pages.
